With so many things to do in the most romantic city in the world, how can you pick just one? Compiled here is a list of some of the most popular tourist attractions of things to do in Paris.

My first suggestion to anyone traveling abroad is that the first item on your list of to-dos is that you should take a tour of the city. Familiarize yourself with the city, that way, if you get lost then you have a small inkling as to where you may be and how you can get back there. Try to select a hotel you can find, preferably one whose name you can say easily. These basic steps might really come in handy, just in case you get lost.

When people talk about Paris, they inevitably mention the Eiffel Tower.  Who wouldn’t love a view of the entire city of Paris?! Make sure you check the hours the tower is open for the season you’re visiting, as they do change slightly based on the season.

The Louvre is another obvious selection on any quick tour of Paris, especially for art lovers. There are over 35,000 pieces of artwork housed in this museum from prehistory to the nineteenth century.

The Notre Dame Cathedral is another great place to visit, and is open year round.  Be warned that some locations within the cathedral do suffer from limited access. Not only is Notre Dame a great tourist destination, it’s also free of charge.

The largest public park in the nation, Luxembourg Gardens is a great destination for nature lovers. There are many statues, flowers, and fountains to catch the eye. There is something for everyone here with attractions for the kids as well that include a carousel, ponies, and puppet shows.

Paris Plage is the beach in Paris located on the Seine River. The exact attractions available change, as the city adds and removes attractions periodically. It is free to go to the beach but each individual attraction has its own admission price.
